From its renowned white sand beaches, amazing marine life and glorious weather, to fabulous dining, shopping, cultural attractions and festivals, Clearwater has it all. So it wasn’t surprising when USA Today readers named this popular year-round destination as “Best Beach Town,” and “Best Place To Watch A Sunset,” and also voted the Clearwater Marine Aquarium as “Best Florida Attraction.”
The Marine Aquarium focuses on rehabilitation and education and speaking of dolphins, you may be greeted by any number of six-foot tall dolphins -115 of them in fact, that comprise the Clearwater Dolphins Trail which extends from Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg.
If shopping’s your bag (and even if it’s not) head on over to Westfield Countryside Mall. With 180+ retailers, twelve movie theaters, an indoor ice-skating rink and Restaurant Row, it has just about everything you need for a day of fun. Another “Must- See”: the free nighty Sunset Celebration at Pier 60 which includes local artisans, street performers, musicians and terrific live entertainment. For true world-class entertainment, check out the performance lineup at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Long a mainstay of the Tampa Bay Cultural scene and downtown Clearwater’s beautifully restored Capitol Theatre, it hosts some of hottest acts in the US. So come see for yourself because Clearwater
